Must Read for Applicants

Below you will find a confirmation of information about how to practice as a NNCP, as well as the CANNP Privacy Policy.

Confirmation of Information

As a NNCP (Natural Nutrition – Clinical Practitioner) you are able to assess nutritional imbalances and weaknesses, and thereby educate individuals and groups to help them build and maintain nutritional well-being.

You encourage clients to discuss their choices with their medical professional and to take responsibility for their own unique nutritional requirements.

You always maintain confidentiality regarding client information, conducting yourself with the utmost professionalism and moral character.

As per the legal restrictions of your profession, you do not diagnose illness or provide therapy to relieve illness. Nor do you engage in tissue penetration, collection of specimens from the body, use medical instrumentation or radiation.

You never recommend that anyone leave their present medical professional or stop taking prescribed medications and in fact, encourage them to seek help from a licensed physician for the treatment of ailments or disease.

You do not claim or advertise a substance as a treatment, cure or preventative for any disease or disorder.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you are in compliance with the laws of the province in which you practice.

Failure to comply with the above may lead to the loss of your NNCP designation and dismissal from the CANNP as determined by its disciplinary committee. Should this be the case, we require that your certificate be returned.

You understand that there is no refund for Membership in whole or part. You will be prompted to renew during the last month of your Membership.

By using the “check” option on your Application,  you certify that the above is true and accurate, and that you will continue to comply as outlined, ensuring your continued use of the NNCP designation for as long as you remain in good standing with the CANNP.
