I can relate! Saying yes seems like such a good idea and then reality (and nerves) hit!
Some questions for you:
– do you know how long you’ll have for your talk?
– what kind of audience are you speaking to? Is this a corporate gig? community workshop? paid or free?
– what is your goal for the talk? inform only or have people work with you 1:1/ sign up for a program?
I agree with you – keep it simple – but you’ll also want to make it engaging so as not to lose their interest. You can do this with quirky facts, humour, case studies, videos, etc.
